The world-renowned street dance competition, Red Bull Dance Your Style, is making its triumphant return! The competition will bring together Hong Kong's strongest dancers, gearing up for an intense battle on July 19 in Hong Kong, vying for the sole title of Hong Kong Champion. The winner will then represent Hong Kong in the Grand Finals to be held in Zurich, Switzerland on October 24, where they will face off against top dancers from all over the world, challenging for the number one spot globally!

Red Bull Dance Your Style, hailed as one of the most prestigious international street dance competition festivals, embodies the purest form of 1-on-1 battle inherent in the street dance lineage – not just a showcase of technical skills, but a fusion of improvisation, creativity, and individual charm:

l   Random Music Challenge: DJs will play random pop music to test the dancers' impromptu creative skills and their mastery of various dance styles.

l   Showcase of Personal Charm: Beyond dance techniques, dancers need to showcase their stage presence and captivate the entire audience.

l   Instant Audience Vote: There will be no professional judges; the winner is solely decided by the audience's votes.

The 2026 Hong Kong season of Red Bull Dance Your Style will kick off with the Qualifiers on June 6. The Qualifiers consist of two rounds. In the first round, dancers will showcase their skills in a Cypher format, and a panel of judges will select outstanding dancers to advance to the next round. In the second round, the selected dancers will compete in a one-on-one battle, with the winners determined by a one-person-one-vote system from the audience. The ultimate winner of this round will proceed to the Hong Kong Finals. This season's panel of judges includes Hirokoboogie from Japan, a Locking dancer and Red Bull Dance Your Style 2025 World Final Wildcard; Aman, a local Hong Kong Afro dancer and champion of Red Bull Dance Your Style Hong Kong 2025; and Louis, a Hong Kong Popping dancer and Red Bull Dance Your Style Hong Kong 2024 Wildcard.

The Qualifiers' winners will join 6 Wildcard dancers in the Hong Kong Finals on July 19. The finals will be held in a one-on-one Battle format with a single-elimination tournament. At the end of each round, the audience will cast their votes to decide who advances! In each round, DJs will play random pop music, and each dancer will have a limited performance time to showcase their skills and captivate the audience, vying for a chance to advance and ultimately claim the Hong Kong Champion title!

To become a voting audience member for the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2026 Hong Kong Qualifiers and Finals, prior online registration is required. Successful registrants will receive a red or blue voting tool upon arrival. At the end of each Battle round, the audience will use these tools to vote for their favorite dancer. The dancer with the most votes will advance to the next round and compete for the Hong Kong Champion title. Red Bull Dance Your Style 2025 World Final Wildcard Contestant

Hirokoboogie, from Osaka, Japan, is a veteran Locking dancer. Her dance journey began in middle school when she made a pivotal decision to leave the volleyball team and join the dance club, marking the start of her enduring passion for street dance.

Hirokoboogie's dance foundation is deeply rooted in Osaka's vibrant street dance scene. She has learned from several Osaka veteran masters, most of whom remain active in the dance scene today. Over the years, she has closely observed these veterans during parties and competitions, an experience that has profoundly shaped her understanding of the Locking style.

In terms of artistic influences, she draws inspiration from legendary dancers such as Toni Basil, TETSU-G, and Roaddoggz (CiO/Masato). Her distinctive personal style blends the feminine elegance of Waacking and Heels with the traditionally stronger Locking moves. Interestingly, even the rhythm of comedians' performances serves as one of her sources of inspiration.

Beyond dancing, Hirokoboogie showcases her versatility with a passion for comedy theater, cooking, fashion trends, and beauty care. 

AMAN
Red Bull Dance Your Style 2025 Hong Kong Champion

Aman specializes in HipHop and Afro dance and actively participates in various street dance events and competitions. She has also organized different street dance activities and contributed to choreography for performances at several tertiary institutions. In recent years, she has performed in multiple theater productions, expressing dance concepts through diverse forms.

LOUIS
Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 Hong Kong Wildcard Contestant

Louis is a veteran street dancer and one of the founders of the renowned Popping dance crew, King Botics. He has collaborated with various artists, including Hins Cheung, Jiang Tao, Angus Wong, and Wang Zidede, among others. A multi-award-winning dancer, Louis has represented Hong Kong in numerous international competitions, claiming championships in Asia and Southeast Asia. He has also served as a judge and instructor. Currently, he is the chairman of the Hong Kong Street Dance Development Association and works as an event planner, choreographer, dance school founder, and instructor.
